Appreciation Post

It's been one of those weeks.  Between taxes, trips to urgent care and the ER, a scratched new car bumper and taxes....I'm spent (literally and figuratively). Stupid IRS.  So as I was stomping around my office having a pity party for myself tonight, I caught a glimpse of some of our wedding details laying across the desk.  And I remembered....I'm pretty freaking lucky.  I have an amazing family, the best of friends, adorable puppies and I'm about to marry the man of my dreams. And my jobs are pretty sweet too.  Really?  One bad week?  Get over it.

So.......instead of being a grump, I wanted to post a little shout out to acknowledge some of the wonderful vendors I have had the chance to work with wedding planning so far.

I can tell you I was absolutely terrified to plan a wedding.  I've planned several dances for work over the past few years....and I know it's not always smooth sailing.  Can I just say I am having a blast?!?!

Ashley Inn....you are the bomb.  Melissa Barnes, the Inn manager is an absolute doll.  Not only is she hilarious and easy to work with, she is ultra honest and flexible making this process 9 million times easier.  The venue is so beautiful, quaint and totally perfect for our wedding weekend.  I can't freaking wait!

Hyde Park Bridal

I actually could live there.....like would move in tomorrow if I could.  Seriously though, the boutique is adorable.  So chic and cozy all at the same time.  The owner, Amanda Cacaro, totally rocks.  The entire experience was so much fun.  So intimate to choose a perfect gown with family and friends......and a touch of champs of course didn't hurt.....100% perfection.

I think I can speak for Eric as well in saying that designing custom shirts for all of the men in our wedding party has been super cool.  Jan Kiefhaber, owner of the company is a genius.  She has fabulous taste and great ideas.  Hand selecting the fabrics and adding personal touches with our wedding date on pashminas and monograms on collars.....I cannot wait to see the final product!
