I am SO excited to announce that NaturallyNati Fitness & Nutrition is officially open for business!!!!!!!!! After a lot of hard work, planning, and some serious risk-taking I have finally decided to launch my dream. If you build it….they will come…..right? That’s what I’m hoping.
Since my junior high and high school days.........I have been extremely passionate about fitness and nutrition. I went to college to study kinesiology and health promotion, and have not stopped educating myself since. I have been trying to find my niche in the field for years, and a few months back….I stumbled upon what I wanted to do. I love my friends and I love working out. I also like happy hour and going to out to dinner. What I don’t like missing the gym. Trying to fit it all in some days becomes absolutely impossible. After getting home from work, walking the dog, doing laundry, grading papers, hitting the gym, showering, blow drying….(and list goes on)….it’s 8:00 before I get the chance to meet up with the girls. So I started thinking…..it shouldn’t be that hard. You should be able to do it all……without having to eat dinner at midnight. The solution…..a fitness party. Here’s the deal. You grab 6 or so of your gal pals and have them come over to your house. You hire NaturallyNati Fitness & Nutrition to help you host your Fitness Party. We work together to customize an hour workout that integrates components of yoga, Pilates, TRX, circuit training, tabata and aerobics that meets the needs of your crew. Next we talk menu. I help you decide on skinny bites and cocktails to serve post workout. Because duh…that is why we workout….for the reward. Oh yeah and to be healthy, feel good and look good too. Speaking of rewards, after each party participants will receive a NaturallyNati Fitness & Nutrition goody bag, filled with healthy recipe ideas, at-home workouts and more! To celebrate this new endeavor, I am hosting a FREE Fitness Party on May 23rd at Otto Armleder Park(5057 Wooster Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45227) from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM. Your workout will include bursts of high-intensity cardiovascular exercises to get your heart pumping and plenty of core and body weight exercises that will build and tone your muscles. Participants who sign-up online will go home with a NaturallyNati Fitness & Nutrition Goody Bag! When you enter the park, veer right and continue until you see the shelter and park in the back. All you need to do….click the link below(the button that says free fitness party registration). Create an account and reserve your spot. BRING YOUR FRIENDS! It is going to be a blast! Plus pools opens that day….so it is always nice to get a good sweat in before stepping into that bikini for the first time of the season. Let’s make your workout a PARTY!!!!

It's been one of those weeks. Between taxes, trips to urgent care and the ER, a scratched new car bumper and taxes....I'm spent (literally and figuratively). Stupid IRS. So as I was stomping around my office having a pity party for myself tonight, I caught a glimpse of some of our wedding details laying across the desk. And I remembered....I'm pretty freaking lucky. I have an amazing family, the best of friends, adorable puppies and I'm about to marry the man of my dreams. And my jobs are pretty sweet too. Really? One bad week? Get over it. So.......instead of being a grump, I wanted to post a little shout out to acknowledge some of the wonderful vendors I have had the chance to work with wedding planning so far. I can tell you I was absolutely terrified to plan a wedding. I've planned several dances for work over the past few years....and I know it's not always smooth sailing. Can I just say I am having a blast?!?! First of all...... Ashley Inn Ashley Inn....you are the bomb. Melissa Barnes, the Inn manager is an absolute doll. Not only is she hilarious and easy to work with, she is ultra honest and flexible making this process 9 million times easier. The venue is so beautiful, quaint and totally perfect for our wedding weekend. I can't freaking wait! http://site.ashleyinnbandb.com Hyde Park Bridal I actually could live there.....like would move in tomorrow if I could. Seriously though, the boutique is adorable. So chic and cozy all at the same time. The owner, Amanda Cacaro, totally rocks. The entire experience was so much fun. So intimate to choose a perfect gown with family and friends......and a touch of champs of course didn't hurt.....100% perfection. http://www.hydeparkbridal.com ThRedHeads I think I can speak for Eric as well in saying that designing custom shirts for all of the men in our wedding party has been super cool. Jan Kiefhaber, owner of the company is a genius. She has fabulous taste and great ideas. Hand selecting the fabrics and adding personal touches with our wedding date on pashminas and monograms on collars.....I cannot wait to see the final product! http://thredheads.com I am extremely lucky to have crossed paths with each one of these vendors! . Turned that frown right upside down didn't I? Sweet dreams. XoXo, NaturallyNati I mean at least I don't have the shakes. Yet. I am attempting to come down from my all-inclusive-resort-vacation-high by recognizing that papas fritas are not a food group……and that mimosas do not count as a serving of fruit………….and I’m starving. For bad food. It's pretty tough to get back on the healthy train after eating 200 meals a day and having desert with each one. So…..due to the fact that I am a firm believer in giving into cravings (in moderation of course), I have created a few monsters that have curbed my sweet tooth this week.....basically part of the rehab program. Slowly weaning off the sweets (baby steps). Both are a good source of protein and are made without any added sugar. I loaded them both with dark chocolate chips…..so there’s that….but otherwise pretty healthy alternatives to the gallon of Graeter’s mint chocolate chip ice-cream I was going to eat.
