So these were the best find ever. COTTON CANDY FLAVORED GRAPES. And they are HEALTHY! WHAT??!?!? So I had seen some buzz on Twitter about cotton candy flavored grapes....so I of course had to find them. In Cincinnati...they seem to be in a lot of the local grocery stores. I happened to pop into Fresh Market this evening....they were $2.99 a lb (not terrible). Anyways, they taste EXACTLY like cotton candy. My mind is actually blown. I of course...being such the skeptic, came right home and started googling everything I could to prove that somehow these little gems were bad for me. But guess what? They aren't. Turns out....horticulturist David Cain cross-bred concord-like grapes with regular grapes....and POOF....heaven. Here is the nutrition break down (because OBVI I HAD to know): Serving size: 1/2 cup Calories: 50 Fat: 0 Carbs: 15 g Protein: 1 g FIber: 1 g Sugar: 14 g Compared to regular Green Grapes Serving size: 1/2 cup Calories: 53 Fat: .2 g Carbs: 14 g Protein: 1/2 g Fiber: .6 g Sugar: 12 g So for two more grams of sugar.....I will GLADLY close my eyes and pretend I am at the circus.
